Dennis Hopper: The Wild Child

Interview with Tennessee Williams

I dream of his genetic construction so often. He's like the bastard child of Rimbaud, with dashes of all the mad men who wrote poems in the night and painted in the backyard, then went dancing with all the pretty girls. There is such a wild, beautiful mixture of personae within him. He is everyman and then he is someone so alien, such an avoidant, that you can't imagine him as anything human. He the wild child [Francois] Truffaut would not have found romantic but feral, productive, elusive.

I love this man.
